Deer Season – Nov. 16- Dec. 2024 
    • We book 3-day hunts. Arrive by 4 PM day
      before hunt. Deer hunters arrive by 1 PM.       
    • All hunts include: Three home cooked meals daily, three nights lodging, professional licensed N.Y.S. hunting guide, single beds in private rooms. 
  • All guests must sign a waiver releasing Turkey Trot Acres
    and all land owners from liability claims.      
  • Licenses are not included in price of hunt. We can obtain licenses and doe tags (2nd deer permit) for you. The nonresident prices are:
Non-Resident Big/Small Game with Doe Permit $120 with Turkey Tags- $130.00

  Spring Gobbler -We will have 100-150 gobblers located through out over 50,000 acres which we hunt. Our guides will roost birds in the evening with you. In the morning we will attempt to call a bird into gun range. Over the last 37 years, the guides here at Turkey Trot have collectively called well over 2,500 gobblers to the gun!

  Fall Turkey Season – Is a real treat at Turkey Trot Acres. It’s our most successful hunt because we hunt with well-trained turkey dogs. We’ve teamed up with John Byrne and Son from Lowry Virginia, breeders of the finest turkey dogs in the country. Watching our Appalachian Turkey Dogs bust a flock of turkeys and then calling the birds to the blind is a truly unique experience.

  Gun Hunting for Whitetail Deer – Candor NY consistently ranks in the top ten townships in the NYS deer kill. Hunting is limited to rifles, shotguns and muzzleloaders. All deer hunts are fully guided and hunting is done from elevated or ground level stands.

Spring Gobbler: 

One Hunter/One Guide ~ Two Gobbler Limit (one on private land & one on public land) $2,000/person.
Two Hunters/One Guide…… $1,550/person
Limited to Family Members ~ 1 gobbler / hunter

Semi-Guided  May 16-19.  $1050/pp (must have a hunting partner).  Two gobblers state game lands.  

Fall Turkey:

Fully Guided with ‘Appalachian Turkey Dogs’
One Turkey Limit ~ $1,350/person.

We are pausing our fall turkey season until the wild turkey population improves!

Gun Season For Deer

Guided (One Buck and One Doe*) Private Property Opening Three Days $1,550/pp
Following Hunt $1,450/pp
*With proper permits.
Non Hunting Guests $850/3 days.

  As of ‘Groundhog’s Day (Feb. 2) 2017 Turkey Trot will not be accepting credit cards.  We Trade in Good Checks, PayPal and Cash.  Sorry for any inconvenience but we just can’t deal with CC processors anymore! 

We Only Book 6-8 Hunters/Hunt.

  1990 THROWBACK GOBBLER HUNT ~ In the spring of 1990 we proudly offered our newly constructed Turkey Trot Acres Lodge’ as a destination for serious wild turkey hunters. Most of our hunts back in the day were semi-guided and took place on the thousands of acres of near-by State Forest Lands.

  Fast forward to 2024………For the second time in almost 40 years we are once again offering limited, Semi-Guided Spring Hunts here @ Turkey Trot! Here is your opportuntiy for you and your turkey hunting buds to join us this May for a unique spring gobbler hunt @ America’s favorite wild turkey hunting hang-out!
  All hunts include opportunity to tag two gobblers, all meals, lodging and guide assistance in showing you some prime state-forest hunting grounds. Guides will not hunt with you.  We will only offer limited spots for this exciting opportunity to enjoy a Legendary Turkey Trot Hunting Experience at a reduced price. These hunts are offered @ $1050/pp.
